By TRN Online, Kathmandu, June 14: Sneha’s Care, an animal welfare organization, is taking care of injured street dogs and feeding the hungry community animals amidst the lockdown enforced to curb COVID-19.
The organisation is also responding to requests to take medicinal interventions of street animals that come across road accidents.
The mobile treatment team of the organisation has been handling cases of hit and run, skin diseases, tumors, and other injuries and diseases. Every day the team comes across an average of 12 medical cases and receives more than 30 calls and messages from the community.
Dogs Trust Worldwide currently supports Sneha’s care for treatment and rescue of street dogs only.
More than 200 street dogs are taking shelter at Sneha’s Care, according to the organisation.
