Okhaldhunga, June 30 : Siddicharan Municipality has honoured the contractors for completing the construction works before the stipulated time. On the occasion of the 8th municipal assembly, the municipality honoured them with shawls for timely accomplishing the government-contracted projects.    

Mayor Mohan Kumar Shrestha said contractors, Tej Bahadur Bhujel and Mohan Karki, were felicitated in recognition of their efforts to complete the construction works almost a year prior to the agreed timeframe. Bhujel had completed the first phase of electoral constituency level Ring Road while Karki accomplished the construction of Sisnekhola Bridge.    

The successful contractors were honoured to motivate their works for timely handing over the projects without compromising quality, Shrestha said.

“There are several examples where the contractors leave the agreed projects in the lurch and receive public criticism. But they demonstrated their caliber to timely accomplish the projects”, the Mayor added. “We honoured their exemplary works”.    

Province-1 Minister for Physical Infrastructure Development Ambir Babu Gurung offered the contractor duo with shawls along with the letter of appreciation.
