Kathmandu, June 30: The government has granted permission to Seti River Hydropower Project for power generation.
The Department of Electricity Development under the Ministry of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation on Monday granted the permission to the project for the same.
Vision Lumbini Power Development Company Limited has begun the construction of 25-megawatt project in Sardikhola of Machhapuchchhre rural municipality in Kaski. The construction activities of the hydropower project have begun from May 4 which is being constructed at a cost of Rs 5 billion.
The construction activities of the project are being carried out adopting safety measures even in the midst of coronavirus pandemic and a target has been set to complete the project within next 27 months.
The power generated from the project would be linked with National Transmission Line after connecting it at an under construction sub-station at Lahachowk, which is four kilometers away from the project site.
