Chitwan, April 17 : The second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine is to be administered from coming April 20. The people who fell in the first priority and got their first doze of the vaccine will get the second and final dose starting April 20 to 24, according to the Health Office, Chitwan.
In the first phase of the nationwide immunization, health workers, cleaning staffers, dead body management security persons, employees, people's representatives, journalists, bank staffers and local level employees had received the first doze of the Covishield vaccine. Around 14,000 received the vaccine in the first phase in the district.
Vaccination centres have been expanded to the immunization centres in the concerned municipalities, according to Office Chief Dipak Tiwari. Health workers will get the second dose of the vaccine in the hospitals and medical colleges that they are working in.
Others can receive it from the immunization centres established in all the seven municipalities of the district, including in the health office, Chitwan.
