Schools in Manang affected by Covid-19 reopen after a year

Manang, Feb 24: Schools in the Manang district that were affected due to the COVID-19 pandemic have resumed after around one year.    
With this, children who along with their parents left the district for outside including Kathmandu and Pokhara to escape the cold, have returned to attend classes.    
Chame and Naso rural municipalities have resumed schools while authorities are set to reopen classes in Manang Disyang and Narpabhumi rural municipalities from 28 February.    
Lokpriya Secondary School in Chame resumed classes from 24 January, said the school's headmaster Suresh Thapa. The school has a total of 292 students.    
There are a total of 26 community schools and a private one in the district.
