By Our Correspondent, Sarlahi, Aug. 25: The Sarlahi District Administration Office has given permission to reopen the district’s schools in the presence of a limited number of students.
As per the recommendation made by the meeting of the District COVID-19 Crisis Management Centre (DCCMC) held at the district headquarters Malangwa, the office has given permission to run the school in rotation and they have to ensure that the number of students does not exceed 33 per cent of the total.
In light of the decision, schools with a large number of students have said that they are now facing a problem informing their students about their class routine as only a handful of students are allowed to stay in class.
However, schools with a limited number of students in some municipalities including Lalbandi and Hariwan have already started teaching-learning activities for a few weeks now.
Ram Kumar Mahato, the chief district officer, said schools are allowed to invite only 33 per cent of students at one time.
Similarly, a meeting of the DCCMC has decided to extend the restriction order in Sarlahi to August 31.
