Kathmandu, July 23: The Secretariat of chairperson of ruling Nepal Communist Party Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' has said that the rumours about the party's internal ideological debates were baseless and ill-publicized; calling for an end to tarnishing the image of the party leaders in that regard.
In a press statement issued on Thursday, press coordinator of Chairperson Prachanda, Bishnu Sapkota said attention has been drawn to news reports about party standing committee member Janardan Sharma carried by various media. "Internal dialogue on ideology is a character of a dynamic party. Accusations and bad publicity against leaders by the media related to those debates are condemnable," read the statement.
Saying that leader Sharma has been contributing to unifying the party in an ideological and organisational way and assisting chair Prachanda, the Secretariat said Sharma was in favour of a unity in the party.
