Jaleshwor, March 11 : Commissioner of the Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA), Jay Bahadur Chand, has said that the Commission alone could not control corruption.
Addressing the programme organised by Bardibas office of CIAA at Jaleshwor, Chand shared that all should be conscious and active to control corruption.
He further said that though there is legal provisions of action, penalties and fines for different types of corruption, it is difficult to control corruption until one realizes that one should not engage in corruption.
Similarly, Chief of the District Coordination Committee, Suresh Prasad Singh, suggested that every parents should impart moral education to their children in order to reduce the corruption.
On the occasion, Co- advocate of CIAA, Ghanshyam Ojha, and Chief of CIAA Office, Bardibas, Gopal Kumar Adhikari, presented separate working papers while Chief District Officer Basudev Dahal commented on the working papers.
Chiefs and representatives of 15 local levels of Mahottari, chiefs and representatives of district-based government offices, politicians, district-based organisations, civil society and media persons were present on the occasion.
