Surkhet, Feb 2 : Minister of State for Health and Population Nawaraj Rawat has said that the murder of then UML Constituent Assembly candidate Rishi Prasad Sharma has caused an irreparable loss to the communist movement.
Addressing the annual general meeting of the Rishi Memorial Foundation in Birendranagar on Saturday, he said we could learn from the struggle of leader Rishi. "He was a leader who established the communist party with honesty, dedication and politics of principle," he added.
A candidate from constituency no. 1 of Surkhet, leader Sharma was shot dead by his personal guard at Maintada of east Surkhet on 2064 Chaitra 26.
Social development minister of Karnali State Dal Rawal said we should follow the path shown by martyr Sharma.
Sharma's widow and first CA member Kamala Sharma said he always be missed not only as a life partner but also as an established leader.
