Banke, Dec 9 : A rickshaw driver here has returned a bag along with Rs 740 thousand to the owner. Rickshaw driver Devraj Verma of Nepalgunj Sub-metropolitan City-14 returned the bag containing the amount to Datta Bahadur Nath.
Nath, who is a resident of Ghorahi Sub-metropolitan City- 5, Dang district, had left his bag in the rickshaw he had hired on Monday while returning from India.
Verma on Tuesday went to the District Police Office and returned the bag and the amount to Nath, Banke district Police Superintendent Om Bahadur Rana said.
Rana said Nath reported about the incident to the police on Monday itself.
The police tracked the rickshaw hired by Nath with the help of the CC camera footage. They then informed Verma about the bag and he returned it.
"Thanks to the technology, we have been able to track the rickshaw and find the bag with the money within a short time," SP Rana said.
