Panauti, July 2: An endangered mammal pangolin is found at Palpali in Panauti Municipality-8 of Kavrepalanchok district.
According to Dhulikhel Forest Division Office, the animal was found near a house of a local at around 9 pm Wednesday and was released in the forest on Thursday.
The forest office chief Devichandra Pokharel confirmed that the animal was identified as Chinese pangolin.
It is said the task of exploring and preserving the pangolin's habitat has been adversely affected in the district is lack of budget.
