Kathmandu, Mar. 10: The weather throughout the country would remain partly cloudy and rain or thundershower is likely to occur due to the effect of the westerly winds at one or two places of the eastern and central hilly regions today, the Meteorological Forecasting Division of the Department Of Hydrology and Meteorology said.
Meteorologist Manju Basi said that light rain or thundershowers coupled with lightning is likely in one or two places of the eastern and central hilly region in the late afternoon.
Likewise, the Division said it is likely to be partly to generally cloudy throughout the country tonight while isolated brief rain or thundershowers is likely to occur at a few places of the hilly region.
As per the Division westerly wind has entered Nepal through the western region and its influence is more likely in the western parts of the country. Meteorologist Basi said that the westerly wind will be more active in the western region of the country from Wednesday.
As per the details of the Division, the minimum temperature in Kathmandu was recorded 11.9 degrees Celsius and 24.8 degrees Celsius was the highest temperature.
Likewise, Dhangadhi recorded the highest temperature in the country today with 28.7 degrees Celsius.
