Kathmandu, June 23: The meeting today of the House of Representatives passed the 'Public Service Commission Bill, 2076 unanimously. The bill was tabled by Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Dr Shiva Maya Tumbahangphe, on behalf of the Prime Minister.
Responding to queries raised on the bill, Minister Tumbahangphe said that the bill will ensure fair and transparent recruitment process for the civil servants, including in the army and police service and wipe out discrimination in the service. It is intended to make the federal civil service healthy, impartial and efficient.
Earlier, MPs Min Bahadur Biswakarma, Dilendra Prasad Badu, Sanjaya Kumar Gautam and Prem Suwal, among others stressed on making the civil service inclusive, public services transparent and impartial and government service competitive.
