Pokhara, Jan 10: The Gandaki State government has announced public holiday on Maghe Sakranti, the first day of Nepali month of Magh that falls on January 15 this year.
The meeting of the Council of Ministers convened on January 9 here made the decision to this effect, according to Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Spokesperson of government, Ram Sharan Basnet.
In a press meet here Friday, Minister Basnet shared that the meeting also decided on a number of matters- one among them was approval in principle for the formulation of the bill relating to the operation of homestay in the State.
Decision was made to approve the bill relating to the Gandaki State Academy to present it to the State Assembly through Ministry of Internal Affairs.
