Doti, Oct 27 : A provincial level engineering college is going to be established in Doti district.
A five-member team has been formed in leadership of former chief of University Grants Commission (UGC) Prof Dr Triratna Bajracharya which will determine the appropriate location to build the college once the feasibility study for the same is conducted.
The team has already conducted virtual meetings with the Chief Minister of Sudurpaschim State Trilochan Bhatta, Dipayal Silgadhi Municipality mayor Manju Malasi among other stakeholders regarding the establishing an engineering college in Doti.
The then Minister for Education Dhaniram Poudyal had arranged budget to the UGC to conduct feasibility study for engineering college in Doti, Bardibas, Chitwan and Dang district, informed Doti Campus’s Associate Professor, Harka Bahadur Kattel.
Dipayal Silgadhi mayor Malasi shared that the team led by Prof Dr Bajracharya was going to visit Doti to conduct study on the state of physical infrastructures in the district.
The Asian Development Bank, the World Bank and the Australian Aid would support the construction of the engineering college in Doti, it was shared.
