Muglin, Sept 22 : The Prithvi Highway which was hit by a landslide at Ghoptebhir of Chitwan has been restored after 11 hours.
The Highway had remained disrupted since 11:45 pm on Tuesday as the landslide occurred at Ichchhakamana rural municipality-4.
The resumption follows the clearance of landslide depositions at 10:20 am today, according to the District Police Office, Chitwan. It took time to remove the landslide debris as it was large in size.
Meanwhile, a female cheetah was knocked down to death by a vehicle at Lebatar of Ichchhakamana-4. Division Forest Office, Chitwan's information officer Balkrishna Khanal, said the Office was informed about the death of the animal in the accident by the police administration and the carcass was managed by the Office.
The animal might have been crossing the road with its mother when the vehicle hit it. Further investigation into the case is underway.
