Mahottari, Mar. 11: The district police have made public four men arrested recently on the charge of gang-raping two girls, amid a press conference in the district police office in Jaleshwor.
A group of seven men, including the four arrestees gang-raped two girls, both around 18th years of age, in Jaleshwor on February 27 night while they had been to a local fair. They took the girls by covering their mouths with hands to a desolate place and raped them, said the police.
The accused arrestees have been identified as Skhushanur Ansari, 26, Raju Thakur, 24, Santosh Thakur, 34, and Kumar Prabhat, 26, all of Jaleshwor municipality-6.
A search has been launched for other rape accused, said Deputy Superintendent of Police Shyam Krishna Adhikari.
Health of the rape survivors is general, said he said, adding that investigations in the case are underway
