Myagdi, June 25 : Nepal Police made public a man who was allegedly involved in the forced disappearance of Principal of Baljagriti Primary School based in Beni municipality-5, Baguwakhola, Bhakta Bahadur Karki.
On Wednesday, the District Police Office, Myagdi made public Sanjaya Baniya, 31, of Beni-6, the accused of enforcing disaprpance of the school principal.
Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Shyam Kumar Rai said Baniya who was arrested from Kushma on June 21 said in his explanation that he had beaten and thrown Karki to the Myagdi River to take personal revenge.
“In his preliminary explanation, the accused Baniya also said that he had swept unconscious Karki away in the Myagdi River”, DSP Rai said the body of Karki has not yet been found.
Accused Baniya’s wife is an employee of the intellectual disability resource section of the same school. Baniya was also living with his wife in the hostel of the school. Earlier, Karki and Baniya had been engaged in a brawl.
Police on Wednesday got extended seven more days to further investigate into the incident.
Police is making necessary preparation to file a case of murder and disappearance with further evidence.
Police said blood was also spotted in the place where Karki was attacked. Karki’s half jacket, sandal and mobile set were also recovered from the Myagdi River bank.
