Pokhara, July 1 : The Pokhara submetropolis is to develop tourism information about the town in multiple languages as it seeks to promote local touristic heritages globally.
As said by deputy mayor Manju Devi Gurung, budget required for the same has been allocated. ‘’Tourism information about the town remaining as one of the major touristic hubs in the country will be available in multiple languages for the worldwide dissemination of touristic sites here.’’
It may be noted that the submetropolis has allocated Rs 24.6 million for the promotion of tourism business here. It is preparing to launch the campaign for the construction of tourism-friendly structures in the near future. The deputy mayor shared that budget had been released to develop the town into an ‘agro tourism center’ by promoting organic production. Besides, there is a plan of making picnic spot at 14 locations and the project will be implemented in collaboration with local forest users’ groups.
Moreover, it has set priorities to the protection and promotion of language including local mother tongues art, literature and culture.
