Kathmandu, Oct 10: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli's spouse Radhika Shakya observed Dashain festival with the helpless children being sheltered at Manav Sewa Ashram (Shelter) at Samakhusi in Kathmandu on the third day of Dashain festival on Thursday.
The children received tika and jamara from Shakya, to whom the children lovingly call 'Radhika Aama'.
She organised a feast for the children at the Shelter and donated Rs. 50,000 to the Shelter, Province Coordinator of the Shelter Suman Bartaula said.
Shakya has been dedicating herself in various philanthropic causes and has been offering donations to this Shelter on several occasions.
Shakya expressed her confidence that the government would achieve the objective of making Nepal a country free of helpless people.
She also said that she took inspiration from the group of people who were dedicated to the cause of social service.
According to her, the Shelter had also given her an inspiration to contribute more to social causes.
