Kathmandu, March 20: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli today handed over the national flag and bid farewell to Maya Sherpa who is setting out to climb Mt Annapurna and Mt Dhawalagiri.
PM Oli in the programme organised at his official residence at Baluwatar wished Sherpa a successful on her mountaineering mission. He also suggested her to climb the mountains taking into consideration all aspects as her health and physical condition.
Sherpa, who started mountain climbing since 2003, has set the goal of climbing all the 14 peaks above 8,000 metres in the world. She has already climbed five of these 14 peaks.
She has climbed Sagarmatha (Mt Everest), the highest peak in the world, three times before this.
