Kathmandu, June 5 : The House of Representatives, Women and Social Committee has directed the Ministry of Health and Population to make arrangements to prevent loss of lives for want of medical treatment during the lockdown and to restore access to basic health services.
A meeting of the committee on Thursday directed the High-level Coordination Committee for Prevention and Control of COVID-19 and the Ministry of Health and Population to use all the available alternatives for saving the lives of pregnant women, nursing mothers and infants who are at high risk, citing that expectant mothers, nursing mothers and infants were having to lose life for not getting timely treatment.
The committee has also directed the Ministry of Women, Children and Senior Citizens for coordination in this.
