Baitadi, May 8 : Activities related to development and construction works that have been obstructed amidst the lockdown enforced to stem COVID-19 crisis would be resumed in Baitadi district.
In this connection, Assistant Chief District Officer Lokendra Singh Negi said the District Administration Office has granted permission for the resumption of over 100 projects alerting to adopt preventive measures against coronavirus.
“Permission has been granted to local levels and development offices to resume development and construction activities by adopting alertness", he said.
The administration office has also permitted projects of supplementary grant and big projects to resume their operations following frequent extension of lockdown period.
Negi further clarified that permission has been granted to the projects of which budget is likely to be frozen. All local levels except Surnaya rural municipality have acquired permission for resuming development and construction activities while all local levels except Mahakali Jaladhar Patan have sought for permission for the same, according to the District Administration Office.
It may be noted that development and construction activities have been completely obstructed in the district due to COVID-19 fear and subsequent lockdown.
