Dhading, Nov 24: One person has died and 40 others were injured in a road accident that took place at Baireni bazaar of Dhading this morning. The accident took place when a bus (Ba. 2 Kha. 6268) carrying members of a marriage procession tried to avoid a pothole in the road.
The bus was heading towards Amlekhgunj from Bansgadi of Nuwakot. The deceased has been identified as 14-year-old Dolma Tamang of Belkotgadhi municipality-5, Nuwakot, according to Superintendent of Police Raj Kumar Baidar.
Seventeen of the 40 injured were taken to Kathmandu Trauma Centre as their condition was critical while the remaining are undergoing treatment at medical centres in Baireni and Galchi, police said.
