By Our Correspondent, Sindhupalchok, Apr. 12: A man was killed on the spot in a road accident along the Araniko Highway at Sukute of Chautara Sangchokgadhi Municipality-9 at 10:15 this morning.
Another man and a child sustained minor injuries in the accident.
The deceased was identified as Narayan Shrestha, 32, of Tripura Sundari Rural Municipality-5. The accident occurred when the bus hit the motorcycle.
Pillion rider Som Bahadur Shrestha, 40, of Tripura Sundari Rural Municipality-4 sustained severe head injuries. He was rushed to Hams Hospital in the capital for further treatment, said Sub-Inspector Rajesh Kumar Dahal.
Anuj Shrestha, a seven-year-old boy of the same Rural Municipality, also sustained head injury but his condition is reported out of danger.
The boy was also brought to the capital for treatment. Relatives of the deceased have blocked the Highway at Amaltar in Khadichaur.
A local, Ram Sharan Khadka, demanded strict action against the bus driver.
Driver Ram Bahadur Shrestha, 44, of Lisankhupakhar Rural Municipality-5 and the vehicles involved in the collision are under the control of the police, according to the District Traffic Office.
