NYF short film competition to be held

Kathmandu, June 19: The National Youth Association of Nepal is going to hold a short film competition titled Ma Kehi Garchhu.
In its statement, the association said that the competition was being organised with the idea of ​​creating reference materials to link the innovative thinking and creativity of the youth in the nation building campaign.
Named NYF Short Movie Competition 2078, the competition focuses on entrepreneurship and employment, tourism, agriculture and industry, politics and good governance, education, health, sports, gender equality and diversity, arts, culture and entertainment and the interested film makers have to make a film of up to 5 minutes on the mentioned theme.
The flmmakers who want to participate in the competition will have to submit a script focusing on the theme Ma Kehi Garchhu.
An expert group will study the script and give necessary advice and suggestions. We have arranged prizes for the best three films made through this process,” said Kiran Poudel, president of the National Youth Association.
According to Poudel, the filmmakers who want to participate in the competition have to send the script by July 9.
The best three films, first, second and the third will be awarded Rs. 250,000, Rs. 150,000 and Rs. 100,000 respectively.
The National Youth Association is the main organiser of the competition, Nepal Film Academy is the co-organiser and the National Youth Council will promote it.
Similarly, the competition will be supported by Film Development Board, Nepal Tourism Board, Offering Happiness and Promoters Nepal.
