Kathmandu, Aug. 10: The number of police personnel infected with coronavirus has reached 369 across the country, the Police Headquarters, Naxal said.
Police spokesperson, Senior Superintendent Kuber Kadayat said 149 among the 369 infected police personnel have returned home after recovery and 220 personnel were under treatment at various hospitals throughout the country.
Of the total active infection cases, 116 are from the Police Headquarters, 14 personnel from Kathmandu Valley, 21 from State-1, thirty six from State-2, two from Bagmati State, 19 from Gandaki State, 11 from State-5, and one from Sudurpaschim State. The infected police personnel of Karnali State have however all been discharged after recovery.
The number of coronavirus infected persons in the country has reached 22 thousand 972 as of Sunday while 16 thousand 353 have returned home after recovering. Similarly, 75 people have died due to coronavirus throughout the country until Sunday.
