Kathmandu, Apr 14: Director of Nepal Rastra Bank, the central bank of the country, Sushma Regmi Rijal has been sent to jail.
Prosecuted under the Senior Citizens Act, she had been remanded in custody for two weeks.
Sushma was arrested by the police after her mother Shobha Rijal lodged a complaint with the police alleging that her daughter did not take care of her even after taking her property.
According to Superintendent of Police Ramesh Kumar Basnet, she was sent to Women's Cell of the Jagannath Dewal Sundhara-based Jail on Monday for trial on Kathmandu District Court’s order.
