By TRN Online, Kathmandu, April 5: The Nobel Sakos Literary Organsation held a blood donation programme on Sunday amidst the national lockdown, keeping in view the shortage of blood for the patients under treatment at different hospitals in Kathmandu.
As per the notice of the Blood Bank of the Nepal Red Cross Society that there was scarcity of blood for the patients currently under treatment at different hospitals, Nobel Sakos Literary Organisation (NSLO) held an urgent blood donation programme," read a press release issued by the NSLO.
21 blood donors donated the blood at the programme that was supported technically by a team of Nepal Red Cross Society, Bhaktapur, and BLODAN Kathmandu secretary Anil Ratna Tuladhar.
The programme was coordinated by the NSLO chair Saraswati Gautam and held at the office of the NSLO at Ghattekulo, KMC-29.
The blood donation programme was held fulfilling all the requirements as set for the lockdown period and in presence of academic Usha Thakur and former election commissioner Dr. Ram Bhakta Thakur.
All the blood donors were the locals of Ghattekulo area.
