Kathmandu, July 23: The National Human Rights Commission Annual Report, 2020/21 has been presented in the National Assembly meeting today.
Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Gyanendra Bahadur Karki presented the Report in the Assembly on behalf of Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba.
Earlier, speaking in the 'special time' in the meeting of the national assembly today, the lawmakers urged the government to bring programmes directed to benefit the farmers. They also stressed the need for ensuring COVID-19 vaccines to the people and its proper management. The lawmakers spoke on the need of cultivating a decent political culture by the political parties.
Similarly, the Upper House members called on the government to regulate and manage the international border, work towards institutionalizing and consolidating the achievements of the various movements for establishing democracy.
The National Assembly will next meet at 1pm on July 27.
