Rukum East Jan 1 : A drinking water project is to be constructed in Sisne rural municipality-5 of Rukum (East). The foundation stone for the drinking water project has been laid on Friday. Ward Chair of Ward No. 5 Shante Bahadur BK laid the foundation stone of Thaknakhola Drinking Water Project.
The drinking water project is being constructed with a budget of Rs. 90 million from the Lumbini provincial government. Water is being brought from the source of Thaknakhola. Five tanks with a capacity of 75,000 liters will be constructed under the drinking water project. The project is being constructed to supply additional drinking water in Rumalbara, Bahunthana and Takura of Ward No. 5 of the rural municipality.
The project will provide easy access to drinking water to about 500 households in the ward, said Ward Chair BK.
The drinking water project is being constructed through the Users Committee.
