By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Nov. 16: The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) on Monday reported 1,197 new cases of COVID-19. The national COVID-19 tally has now reached 210,973.
"As many as 1,197 persons were found with the novel coronavirus infection in the last 24 hours," informed the ministry in its daily update.
Currently, there are 33,379 active cases of COVID-19 and 1,013, mostly those who had returned from abroad, are placed in quarantine across the nation.
Meanwhile, 2,934 COVID-19 patients either receiving treatment at various institutional isolations or staying in home isolation recovered from the infection in the last 24 hours. Nepal has now recorded a total of 176,364 recoveries.
Moreover, nine persons succumbed to the novel coronavirus infection in the last 24 hours, taking Nepal's COVID-19 death toll to 1,230.
