Biratnagar, Oct 14 : A Nepali married woman is suspected to have been killed by her in-laws over dowry at Bedayari of Jogbani in Attariya district, India. Body of Ranjana Sahani (Bahardar), 22, who was married to an Indian national, was found at Paraman river, three kilometers south of Jogbani bazaar on Sunday. Sahani sustained bruises over her face and other body parts, said the Indian police, adding that she might have been beaten to death by her in-laws over dowry.
The Indian police have arrested one Bhim Bahardar Sahani of Jogbani Bhedayari-25, the deceased's father-in-law Saini Bahardar, brother-in-law Arjun Bahardar and neighbour Shivananda Mukhiya in connection with the death. A search is ongoing to arrest the deceased's mother-in-law and sister-in-law, they said. The deceased's maternal house is located in Biratnagar-11.
