Kathmandu, Sept. 23: The Embassy of Russia is committed to facilitating the arrival of Russian tourists in Nepal. This was the message delivered by the Ambassador of Russia to Nepal Aleksei Novikov to the chief executive officer of Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) Dr. Dhananjay Regmi during their meeting on Friday.
According to a press release issued by the Tourism Board on Wednesday, the ambassador also expressed his keenness to help Nepal realise its full tourism potential at the meeting held at the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Baluwatar, Kathmandu.
Similarly, Regmi informed Ambassador Novikov that Nepal could be an attractive destination for Russian tourists interested in adventure. He also shared that the mountaineering and trekking sectors would soon be opened to visitors.
Last Monday, Iullia Andrasova, first secretary at the Russian Embassy, also met with Dr. Regmi at the NTB office in Bhrikutimandap.
