Kathmandu, Oct. 21: Chairmen of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) on Tuesday decided to dismiss the decisions taken by Karnali Chief Minister Mahendra Bahadur Sahi to remove Gulab Jung Shah from the post of the chief whip of the State Assembly.
Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli’s press advisor Surya Thapa said the meeting held between party chairmen KP Sharma Oli and Pushpa Kamal Dahal agreed to dismiss the CM’s decision.
Karnali CM Shahi, who is also the party leader of NCP’s State Assembly, on October 12 removed Shah from the responsibility citing that his performance was not satisfying.
CM Shahi also assigned whip Sita Nepali to work as the chief whip of the party.
According to Thapa, the party chairmen had also decided to terminate the decision to assign whip Nepali to work as the chief whip.
The two chairmen also agreed to withdraw a vote of no-confidence motion registered against CM Shahi in the Karnali State Assembly.
Dahal’s press advisor Bishnu Sapkota also informed that today’s meeting was dwelt on issues related to Karnali State.
Sapkota also stated that the party chairmen agreed to recommend the State Party Committee and State government to resolve the issue of chief whip and the no-confidence motion registered against CM Shahi.
