Kathmandu, Feb 12 : Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba expressed good health, longevity and prosperity to all Nepalis on the occasion of Sonam Lhosar and Gyalbo Lhosar today.
Sonam Lhosar is celebrated by Tamang community and Gyalbo Lhosar by the people in the mountainous region as the New Year.
Extending the message of best wishes, President Deuba said although Nepal is a country with diverse religion, culture, and community, every ethnic group has its own distinct identity.
The religious and cultural tolerance has fostered respect and dignity among Nepalis, he added.
He wished the festivals inspired everyone to work for peace, prosperity and happiness in the country.
