Kathmandu, March 9: Nepali Congress President Deuba has expressed sorrow over the demise of former President of NC, Myagdi district, Dr Bhupendra Bahadur Khadka.
Dr Khadka passed away today morning while undergoing treatment at the Army Hospital at Chhauni, Kathmandu. He was 79.
Issuing a condolence message here today, Deuba extended his tribute to Dr Khadka and expressed condolences to the bereaved family. The former Prime Minister said that NC has lost a senior personality with the demise of Dr Khadka.
Dr Khadka was elected as the Member of Parliament from constituency no 1 of Myagdi district in the election in 2048 BS. He chaired the Myagdi District Landless Squatters Commission in 2055 BS and served to society and country through his involvement in several social organizations.
He had also actively contributed to build and expand party organization as well as in various democratic movements in the country.
