Chitwan, Nov 17 (RSS):
A Nepal Army person who was apprehended by the police this morning for an offence died in his failed attempt to escape the confinement. The deceased has been identified as Ram Kandel, 28, of Ichchhamanakamana rural municipality-5 and was associated with the NA Bardha Bahadur battalion, Sindhuli.
According to the police report, he was severely injured in his failed to run away from the police confinement by jumping from barandah of the temporary police beat at Fisling of Ichchhamanakamana rural municipality-3. At the time of disputes, he had drunk, it is said. He had been at the home leave.
According to the police, he had disputes with the police as the later intervened him as he tried to misbehave with woman while returning home from a local religious Ichhakamana fair.
He breathed his last in course of treatment at Bharatpur Hospital this morning itself, Superintendent of Police Dan Bahadur Malla said. The two police personnel have been arrested for further investigations into the case.
