Lalitpur, Dec 5 : A multi-purpose community centre building constructed with technical support from International Organization of Migration and financial aid of the Thai government was inaugurated here on Friday.
Lalitpur Mayor Chiri Babu Maharjan and Thai Ambassador to Nepal Vosita Bharsaf jointly inaugurated the building.
The building was constructed with the objective of using it as a shelter for people affected by disaster. The building has been constructed in the premises of the around 13 ropani of public land in ward no. 22 of the municipality.
The building was completed at the cost of Rs. 10.3 million.
A similar community centre building is being constructed in ward no. 8 of the municipality, said senior engineer of the municipality Harischandra Lamichhane.
