Myagdi, Ocr 2 : Minister for Women, Children and Senior Citizens, Thama Maya Thapa has urged the non-resident Nepalis to bring in investment in Nepal.
She said so while addressing the inauguration programme of the third general convention and fifth general meeting of Myagdi Overseas Nepalese Association (MONA) International Working Committee at Ghodepani of Annapurna rural municipality on Tuesday.
Minister Thapa insisted that the environment conducive for investment has been created in Nepal with the political stability and stable government.
"The skill, capital and technology that you have earned abroad should be brought into the country and spend in nation building," she suggested. The Minister informed that the government has made an appropriate policy arrangement and environment to attract foreign investment in the productive sector.
She stated that there was ample investment opportunity in the hydropower, tourism, commercial agriculture and livestock sectors in the Myagdi district.
MONA is a common association of the people of Myagdi who are living and working in various countries of the world.
One hundred and fifty representatives from 20 countries are participating in the general convention that will conclude on Thursday. (RSS)
