Kathmandu, July 27: Minister for Communications and Information Technology Dr Yubraj Khatiwada has directed the civil servants to work maintaining transparency to materialize the goal of digital Nepal.
Speaking in a programme organized at the Ministry today, Minister Khatiwada shared that Nepal is getting digitalized hence officials should work skillfully to materialize the goal. He said." A long journey to digital era in mass communication is long struggle with many things yet to achieve."
He urged the media to disseminate factual news rather creating confusion and ambiguity among the people. "Media should be accountable along with full press freedom."
Hari Prasad Basyal, who assumed the post of CIT Secretary today, said that process of formulation of new media laws would be forwarded with consensus of all sides concerned. He also opined to work honestly bearing a new responsibility.
