Galkot, July 24 : The Baglung section along the Mid-Hill (Pushpalal) Highway which had remained disrupted due to a landslide since Tuesday resumed one-way from the Thursday evening.
The highway was disrupted following the massive landslide at Bokse of Baglung municipality-3. According to Highway Project Office Parbat's chief Ashish Thapa, now the section reopened one-way, but there is a high possibility that it could be disrupted as rain could trigger the landslide depositions fall again. Many vehicles had remained stranded midway due to the highway disruption.
District Police Office's Inspector of Police Deepak Rijal said vehicles should not be allowed to use the route during night due to a high risk of landslip again.
Meanwhile, the Galkot section of the highway caved-in at different locations due to incessant rains, the Galkot municipality said. The section caved-in 40 meters at Bhungkhani of Dudilabhati, 10 meters in Kafalthuta, 10 meters in Chauraha and 20 meters at Jamdare Ghumti, said deputy mayor Ranuka Kaucha Magar.
