Taplejung, Oct 16 : A man has died after being bitten by a snake at Phungling Municipality in Taplejung district today morning. Bishnu Bahadur Ghatani of the municipality-9 died at the district hospital, said Rakesh Yadav, information officer for the district police office.
A delay in providing medical treatment to Ghatani is blamed for his death. Initially, Ghatani was taken to a local witch doctor and he was given home-made medicines, but to no avail, said villagers. He breathed his last shortly after he was admitted to the hospital, said the district police office.
