Lalitpur, May 5: Mahalaxmi Municipality in Lalitpur has decided to deploy the daily wagers in the development construction so as to arrange two square meals to the workers who are facing hardship during the ongoing lockdown order.
The Municipality has forwarded the idea to facilitate the daily wagers for the management of the expenses.
Mayor Rameshwor Shrestha said that the Municipality is beginning the minimum employment programme for the welfare of the daily wages earners.
He has also appealed to all unemployed and labourers to establish contacts in the concerned ward offices and participate in the labour-based employment programme.
Mayor Shrestha viewed that Municipality’s move will end the fear of hunger among the poor and underprivileged communities during the time of crisis.
