Galeshor, Feb. 17: : Chairperson of the National Innovation Centre Mahabir Pun is going to be honoured with 'Gandaki Ratna Award' for his contribution to the development in science and technology sector of the country.
A Cabinet meeting of the Province took the decision to honour the Ramon Magsaysay Award winner with the award.
The award, biggest one in the province, would be presented to Chair Pun amid a function to be organised on coming Wednesday on the occasion of the fourth anniversary of the provincial government, said Spokesperson of Gandaki province government, Kumar Khadka.
Pun has contributed immensely to the expansion of wireless internet in rural areas of the country.
