Kathmandu, Nov. 8: Emerging singer Loomila Joshi is all set to shine in music industry.
Following the footsteps of grandfather Dwarika Lal Joshi and mother Lasata Joshi, the third generation Loomila Joshi is working hard to make her name in the musical field.
Loomila announced that she will be going on to entertain music lovers soon with a cover music video of Sirisiri Phasan jita: kucukucu nakala.
Loomila also said that her new song will premiere at Tihar on the occasion of Nepal Sambat 1141.
Loomila said that to make the cover video of Sirisiri Phasan is to revive this old Newari song and to promote this culture.
This folk song is very popular in the Newar community.
“I want a new generation of people like myself to know about this song,” she added.
Janakabi Durgalal Shrestha is the lyricist of the song Sirisiri Phasan.
Renowned singer Lasata is helping her daughter to make the music video.
Lasata herself has directed the music video.
Lasata said that she is looking forward to the upcoming song and believes that this song would support Lumila in her music career.
Loomila also got the support from Yogen Jyapu (in madal) and Sabin Maharjan (in flute).
Ryder RDX shot the music video. The tam also got special help from the Japanese, Byanca Dai in order to finish the music video.
