Damauli, Oct 3 : A man-eater leopard that mostly attacked children at various wards of Bhanu municipality has been trapped this morning.
The leopard is known to have attacked children at ward number 2, 3 and 4 of the municipality on different dates before this.
A shed was constructed inside a community forest at Bhanu municipality-2 for taking the leopard into control. A goat was kept inside the shed as bait.
"The leopard has been trapped in the shed after long efforts. It would be send either to the central zoo or to the national park," Kedar Baral, chief of the Division Forestry Office Tanahun, said.
The locals are happy and felt relieved from the fear of the leopard after it was trapped. The leopard had killed two boys and two girls in the municipality before this.
