Chitwan, Nov. 26: Top leaders of various parties have extended best wishes on the occasion of the 10th National Congress of the CPN (UML) kicked off on the bank of Narayan River from today.

Extending his best wishes, CPN (Maoist Centre) leader Leelamani Pokhrel stressed the need for unity among the Communist parties in the country. He said, “There should be no differing views among Communists in regard with the matters of national interest and development.”

As he explained, unification, struggle and cooperation are continued processes in the political sphere and the cooperation among the Communist parties is essential despite differing views and mutual bitterness.

Janata Samajbadi Party Chair Upendra Yadav was of the opinion of making the Constitution more inclusive and federalism more effective to further strengthen the federal democratic republic.

Loktantrik Samajbadi Party, Nepal Chair Mahantha Thakur thanked UML Chair Oli for what he said latter’s maximum efforts to address issues concerning the Madhes Movement. As he argued, Oli lived up to promises made in course of the Madhes movement.

Rastriya Janamorcha Chair Chitra Bahadur KC said he saw no alternative to unity among the Communist parties. Only unity among the Communists could serve the interests of the nation and the people.

Rastriya Prajatantra Party Chair Kamal Thapa claimed UML chair Oli provided his presence in favour of the nation and people.

“He is credited for institutionalizing a revised political map of Nepal incorporating areas like Lipulek and Limpiyadhura.” He took time to say that the Oli-led government was successful in bringing the Madhes-based separatist force and the rebelling Biplav group to the mainstream of politics.
