Kathmandu, Feb. 18: National Assembly Chairman Ganesh Prasad Timilsina has argued that the responsibility of the lawmakers won't end only by drafting laws.
Releasing a book published by Federal Legislation Committee of the National Assembly today, he added that the parliamentarians should also inform the people about the relevance and importance of the Acts while carrying out the monitoring of the laws' implementation status.
He was of the opinion that there have been some gaps in making people understand about the lawmakers' main job of making laws and their implementation.
The 50-page book incorporates Nepal's legal history, constitutional development, parliamentary system adopted by the constitution and form of parliament, House of Representatives and National Assembly, parliament's the committee system, international practices on implementation of laws and some other topics too.
