Chitwan, Feb 20: Lalitpur Metropolitan City has aided Rs 2 million for ongoing construction of Gautam Buddha International Cricket Stadium at Rampur in Chitwan.
The Dhurmus-Suntali Foundation, which took the responsibility for the construction, and Lalitpur metropolis on Friday signed an agreement to this effect.
On the occasion, Lalitpur Mayor Chiribabu Maharjan handed over a cheque of Rs 2 million to Foundation's chairperson Sitaram Kattel (Dhurmus).
Mayor Maharjan said small support from all sides would leverage the construction of the stadium. Likewise, Foundation chairperson Dhurmus said that the metropolitan city's support in the troubled time has imparted a message that stadium construction was going on. He further shared that the Foundation is receiving support from different local levels across the country for the construction.
Kattel said that Lalitpur metropolitan city's support has further inspired the campaign for the construction of an international level stadium.
